The Parish of Woolwich stretches from Woodhill in the west, to Arsenal Way and Burrage Road in the east, and Prince Imperial Road in the south. The northern border of the parish is the River Thames.
The Parish of Woolwich incorporates: the Royal Arsenal (west of Arsenal Way), Woolwich Dockyard, The Royal Military Academy, Woolwich Barracks, the whole of Woolwich town centre, the residential areas of Woolwich (housing 20,000 people), the Town Hall and most offices of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Woolwich Arsenal Railway Station, Woolwich Docklands Light Railway Station, the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) Station (opening in 2018), the Waterfront Leisure Centre, and many nurseries, children’s centres, primary schools, colleges, supermarkets, shops, businesses, restaurants and cafes.
